The vast marketplace that is the internet is a tricky one for the small independent retailer to negotiate. Not having the benefit of dedicated marketing departments or huge budgets, trying to make your store stand out is always a major challenge. But what we do offer is a personal service.
Every single customer makes a huge difference to our chances of survival, so we will always try and go the extra mile. We may not necessarily be able to offer next delivery 365 days of the year, or every variation of anything you might be looking for all in one place, but if you have a question you can call and get a real person on the end of the phone, or email and be assured of a personal reply rather than a computer-generated one!
Whilst getting ready yesterday, I caught part of a programme about caring for the elderly with dementia and it reminded me of a wonderful email I received from a customer at Christmas. When packing her order ready to be posted, it struck me that the (biodegradable) foam pieces I was tipping into the box made it look like a bran tub. As it was Christmas, I thought it might be fun to add a little something extra, and this was the response I received:
